Bert's next novel, now tentatively titled Sunrise in the Cloud Forest, is the story of a senior pastor whose position is threatened by the ambitions of one of his associates, whose reputation is put in doubt, and whose marriage teeters precariously on the crater's edge. It is also the story of love and conflict in a family of mixed nationalities and diverse religious loyalties. Set in the old southern city of Mobile, the story also moves south of the border to a seaside town and a rain forest resort in Costa Rica. Bert hopes to have this novel ready for publication in 2010. He has on his "to do" list the publishing of additional small collections of sermons and other writings available both through the Kindle Store and as downloads from this web site. |
